Tanzania Travel Info

Karibu Tanzania!

Tanzania has opened their borders for visitors, without restrictions!

It is not too late to visit Tanzania in 2020 and witness the epic Wildebeest Migration. Low tourism numbers, high wildebeest numbers and a handful of amazing lodges in which to stay, make Tanzania the perfect post Covid-19 safari destination.

We will update our Tanzania Travel Info as more details are made available by the authorities.

Tanzania Travel Info – Post Covid-19

Tanzania is the first country in Africa to reopen borders to international visitors. Airlines are starting to fly back into the country, with KLM, Ethiopian Airlines and Qatar flying to the capital city, Dar es Salaam a few times a week. Dar es Salaam is the gateway to Zanzibar and the vast and untouched game reserves of Selous and Ruaha. These airlines will also start to fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport soon which opens up the Northern Tanzania Safari circuit and the chance to witness the great wildebeest migration.

Arrival procedures at Tanzanian Airports are like at any International Airport – safe, compliant, clean, with screening and temperature checks in place and rapid tests available if required. Only if guests display symptoms will the authorities request further action like quarantine or other tests. All other visitors are allowed in without a mandatory quarantine.  All camps still subscribe to Medivac support available to the nearest hospital in Arusha or Dar es Salaam.

Slowly but surely camps are starting to open up and more will follow as demand increases. For now, if you can leave your country and are desperate for a fix of the African Savannah, book a safari to Tanzania! All are following strict healthy and safely protocols to ensure your health.
