Celeste le Roux prepared a safari trip for her guests Gabriele & Norbert Orac, where they stayed over at Thakadu River Camp in the Madikwe Game Reserve of South Africa, Kwara Camp in the Okavango Delta of Botswana and Lebala Camp in the Linyanti Savuti Region of Botswana. Gabriele and Norbert shared the following guest feedback:
“Dear Celeste,
We are back and everything worked out perfectly well – a “huge thank you” to you .
It was luck that you had completely insured the rented car, since we had a very flat tyre (even smoke came out of the tyre). We continued with a changed tyre which allowed only a speed of 80 km/h.
In Madikwe we phoned the branch office in Sun City and they delivered another car for free (believe it or not, spare tyres were not available for the first car). The joke was only, when we wanted to leave Madikwe after 4 days, one tyre of the new car was also flat. But we were lucky that no more flat tyre happened on our way back.
Just for your information, during the week we were the only guests and had the whole camp and jeep/ranger for ourselves. Most of the people tend to go there over weekends.
Wayne, the manager, was also a very nice guy helping us with the phone numbers for the car rental station.
The transfers worked all perfectly on time. I was only worried standing in Maun and having no air-ticket in hand for the light planes. (I was worried since I thought I might have lost it somewhere).
But they knew our names and delivered us to the right lodges. Okavango is really great!
Have you ever been in some of those lodges? The food was good and the game drives excellent. The rangers did their best finding all kinds of animals (we personally do not always need to run behind the big five, also small animals and birds are nice to watch).
A huge workload has been waiting for my return and we also start preparations for the Christmas-celebrations (in our stable and also privately).
Tell your boss, you have very happy clients (again!!) and we will come back to you, when we do our next trip to this area.
