Liselle sent her guests Rodrick & Kay Desborough on a trip to Tanda Tula Safari Camp in the Timbavati Game Reserve and Simbambili Game Lodge in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger. Rod had the following guest feedback to share:

The flights, transfer and camps/resorts all worked out as advertised.!!
Kay and I agreed that the Tanda Tula experience was outstanding and gave us both a better feel for living in the bush.
Tanda Tula did an awesome job for our anniversary celebrations with champagne on the sundowner stop, dinner and suitable gift of a leopard handled spoon and room decorations suitable to the occasion – thanks for your part in making it happen. Simbambili also did a good job of an anniversary dinner and room decorations with champagne.
We had outstanding rangers at both locations, Civilized at Tanda Tula and Richard at Simbambili.
Scotch and Jack at Tanda Tula were also great as was Celebrate at Simbambili.
Game sightings at Tanda Tula exceeded those at Simbambili but it may just have been the respective times we visited, although I had the impression there was more access to the various properties at Tanda Tula than Simbambili. We saw the big 5 at both locations with the lion sightings at Simbambili being better than Tanda Tula.
Food was good and plentiful at both locations.
The open air and screened “tent” at Tanda Tula made for a much better night’s sleep than keeping the doors closed and using the air conditioning at Simbambili. Overall impression of Simbambili was that it perhaps caters to a North American guest who wants some of the same amenities in the bush as if travelling in a US city. Suspect the cook at Simbambili was more orientated to North American tastes than Tanda Tula.
Never the less, the experience was fantastic!!!
