Good to hear from you. I was planning to email you in the next day or so to let you know the trip was fantasic!!
Transportation to Simbavati went without a hitch. When we got there we were greeted by Elmarie and Haley. When I saw our tent accommodations , I was delighted! Soon after, we headed out for our first game drive. Delight turned to amazement as we immediately began to see elephants, zebra and impala. In the photo below, Deborah, George, Ariana, Brendan, myself and Frank are enjoying our first evening break in the African Veld. Our guides were knowledgable and gracious and we really enjoyed them. We were told we were very lucky as in just the five days we managed to see animals that had not been seen in five years! Among the rare sittings was a porcupine and an aardvark. The staff was well trained and accomodating. They even played rugby with my son, Brendan. The food was excellent and the Braai (barbecue) was a new experience for us. One of our favorite pastimes was sitting on the porch watching the hippos in the river.
Thank you for helping us decide on Simbavati and for making the arrangements. For us , it was the experience of a lifetime. It really could not have been more perfect in every way. It absolutely exceeded our expectations.
