Kruger & Cape Town Safari Client Feedback – by Natasha Allan

Hi Natasha

I’ve finally found a moment to write to you and to thank you for the wonderful organization of our holiday in South Africa. Everything was perfect, no problems, no delays and the people were incredible, so friendly and helpful, we had a really special time.

On arrival in Joburg we were met at the airport by one of my friends which was wonderful for me, she helped us with our car rental (we decided to rent a car at the airport so that we could go to Gold Reef City and to visit the places where I grew up and to go out for dinner with all my friends) and with the directions to the Metcourt. The only setback in Joburg was the rain as it rained almost all day and our visit to Gold Reef was a bit miserable because of the wet weather. We went to dinner on the Saturday night to Moyo at Melrose Arch which was a great experience for everyone due to the ethnic atmosphere and the South African food. I really enjoyed catching up on the last years with my friends and our kids finally got to meet each other.

We were picked up on Sunday morning for our trip to the Kruger at 6 in the morning and arrived at Timbavati at about 1. Timabavati is an amazing venue for game viewing and we saw lionesses with their cubs still suckling, baby elephants, baby giraffes and baby hippos. Our guide Dwayne and tracker were wonderful and the hospitality at Simbavati was 5-star. My husband was given a wonderful surprise on the 18th April (his birthday) as all the staff sang to him at dinner time, very emotional. We didn’t have very good weather while at Simbavati but at least it didn’t rain.

Cape Town was also perfect. The weather great, no clouds, lovely blue skies and we managed to do all that we had planned except visit you. We wanted to come by on the Thursday morning but got lost a few times and ended up going straight to Table Mountain first thing in the morning which was a good thing as we had no queues when we arrived and when we came down the queues were terrible to take the cable way up. We also went to Cape Point, Boulder Beach and still had time over to do some shopping at V&A Waterfront. That evening we had dinner at Beluga and that is when I realized that your office is right in front of Beluga. Pity we didn’t find it in the morning, had a great dinner at Beluga.

We spent Friday at the Spier Wine Estate, took a Sedgeway Tour around the vineyards which was a new experience for everyone and a lot of fun. Had dinner at Nelson’s Eye, a good South African T-Bone which was delicious. On Saturday we did some last minute shopping and then we had to leave.

Once again thanks so much for a wonderful trip and I’ll definitely contact you the next time we decide to visit Africa.

Kind regards Carolina
