Masai Mara Kenya Vacation

Client Feedback : SA, Vic Falls, Namibia and Masai Mara Kenya Vacation

Brett’s clients enjoyed quite the safari sojourn to SA, Vic Falls, Namibia and Kenya. For his guests, the highlight was their Masai Mara Kenya Vacation.

Hi Brett

Just thought you might be interested in our review of our recent African holiday.

All went according to plan. We were met and transferred without any worries and thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there.

For both of us the highlight was Masai Mara and the river crossings – though we never quite managed to see thousands of wildebeast swimming across. We did see perhaps a hundred or so and the start of several others and then the animals were spooked. I suspect we were never in quite the right place at the right time.

We enjoyed the tented camp at Governor’s and although a big camp, the atmosphere was very friendly.

I loved the chalets at Ongava Lodge but I thought the Kulala Desert Lodge chalets were a little tired. Food and atmosphere were good however, better than Ongava.

We had a great few hours at the Intercontinental Airport Hotel and would highly recommend this – despite the huge cost.

Nottens was friendly with great food and we managed to fill our big 5 gap there with good sightings of rhino and leopard.

The Royal Livingstone was quite “royal” but a nice little interlude.

As mentioned, we did enjoy Cape Cadogan.

Only slight hiccup, we received a message at Ongava Lodge to deliver our hire car to Eros domestic airport. We left the keys in the Budget box but there was no phone connection to anywhere. When we came back from Sousselvei, our hire car was still in the car park and our guide for the Windhoek tour asked his office to ring through and organise its return to Budget international airport office. Susan has now been charged 478.56 ZAR on her credit card, so could you please check what this is for and assess whether we should request a refund for this charge. Susan’s mobile – with international roaming – was only able to be used in Cape Town and J’burg – there was no cover anywhere else in Africa).

Susan and I did find it difficult to exit Windhoek and even more difficult to find the Eros airport on our return. Budget did not have any Sat-Navs for hire which may have helped. Finding the correct road to Ongava and on return the way to Eros, were the only stress factors we experienced.
