Repeat guests of Natasha’s and their 2 boys recently were welcomed back and embarked on a journey through the iconic Greater Kruger region, visiting the captivating landscapes of the Sabi Sand, Thornybush, and Timbavati reserves. With each visit, they discover something new while savouring the familiar sights and sounds of the wilderness they’ve grown to love. From close-up leopard encounters in the Sabi Sand to the untamed beauty of Thornybush and the rich biodiversity of Timbavati, their return was a testament to the Kruger’s timeless allure. Here is their feedback:
Hi Natasha ,
We just wanted to reach out and share our feedback on our recent trip to South Africa. Once again, we had a fantastic experience! The lodges, safaris, delicious meals, and stunning sunsets… everything was spot-on, and everyone came back feeling recharged 🙂
The wildlife sightings were simply extraordinary. We were lucky enough to see leopards, wild dogs, and lions multiple times—even a pride of lions feasting on a buffalo! It was truly a thrill.
If we were to pick a favourite lodge, Waterbuck Lodge would definitely be at the top of our list—it was outstanding! Umkumbe Bush Lodge was enjoyable too, though the safari experience was a bit different from the other lodges. The area there is a bit smaller, and a section of the land had recently been burned for conservation, which meant some animals had moved further out. Our young ranger was friendly and enthusiastic, though we did stick to the main paths more than expected.
All in all, it was another memorable adventure with many great experiences. The transfers were all on time and well-organised too—no complaints there!
Thank you for making it all so seamless.
Warm regards,
Katrien
