Client Feedback: ‘Unveiling the Magic of Kruger’

Repeat guests of Natasha’s embarked on a recent trip to the Kruger, with their love for the African bush it has brought them back once again to two extraordinary destinations: Umkumbe Bush Lodge in the Sabi Sands and Tangala in Thornybush. Both lodges offer distinct yet equally captivating experiences, from the close-up wildlife encounters in the renowned Sabi Sands to the tranquil, off-the-beaten-path charm of Thornybush. This journey is a reunion with the raw beauty, unforgettable wildlife, and warm hospitality that make these safaris unforgettable every time. Here is their feedback:

Hi Natasha,

Super happy with the trip. Out of all the safaris I have had, it was by far the best one in terms of game viewing.

Umkumbe was an amazing camp, much better than the website showed and we had fantastic guides and the food was super delicious.

Tangala camp was a bit old and tired but they did say that there were going to be renovating soon which it badly needs. The transfer to Tangala was too long, the roads were very poor, and the potholes made for very slow going (worst part of the trip).

The game viewing at both was beyond incredible and the long journey long forgotten. I finally got to see leopard!! A young male up a tree hiding from the lions we were watching at first. A mother and cub with a fresh kill up the tree. A large male eating a fresh warthog kill on a low tree in front of us. A male and female mating multiple times. Another female with a kill up a tree.

We also saw wild dogs on a kill, lion, hyena and the leopard. And then we saw baby everything, rhino, hippo, giraffe, hyena, lion, buffalo, elephant, all the babies were so cute you just wanted to pick up the little lion cubs and give them a cuddle. It was so amazing and even better that the whole family was there to see it all and experience the magic of being on an amazing Sun Safari.

I will most likely do a trip in 1-2 years to check up on Mum again. She celebrated her 90th birthday and is going strong still, super proud of her.

Thank you again for all your help and recommendations and I will be in touch.

Kind Regards,

Brendan
