Hi Brett,
We are still in Mauritius but home on Saturday. It really has been a holiday of a lifetime.
Jaci’s house was out of this world. I actually cried leaving there! I never thought a safari could be so relaxing! And I’m not a morning person, nor are at least two others of our family, but we all absolutely loved the morning drives. They were so invigorating. Our guides were just the best too – we always seemed to find the animals first! It was such a bonding family experience. The food was incredible too – and we are real foodies and hadn’t been expecting the food to be such high quality so that was a real bonus. The house itself is also beautiful. Really I don’t know what else to say about Jaci’s as words don’t do it justice – we dream of going back and will definitely recommend it.
Cape Town was wonderful too. Wayne was just so lovely – honestly the best guide, we really enjoyed his company. I’m so pleased we did the two day tours. The wine tasting was actually great fun for all of us – and one of our sons has now been converted to wine! Wayne knew to do the chocolate and wine tasting as that was fun for our daughter too. The penguins were so cute and the scenery was beautiful. The apartments were also lovely and the Waterfront was definitely the place to be. We felt very safe there. Unfortunately our flight was delayed by almost 2 days so we spent 2 nights at the airport hotel which didn’t feel so safe! But nothing could stop this being the holiday of a lifetime, and memories made for life. Thank you so much for all your help with this.
