Hi Brett
Overall the trip was great. We loved the whole of South Africa and have already recommended your services to friends. Some quick thoughts on the places we visited:
Mantobeni – Great experience. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The lodging was as expected and fair relative to the price of other options. The rest of the package outside of the lodging exceeded our expectations. The food, beverage options and quality of our game driver were exceptional. The game reserve itself was incredible – we saw lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, rhinos, elephants, buffalo and much more.
Winchester – 10/10. Amazing hotel, great food and bar, clean comfortable rooms, great views and location.
L’ermitage – this was probably the lone disappointment of the trip. Everything felt a little weird and off here, as if it was the entire staff’s first day working in hospitality. The check in process was clunky with the porters and front desk not being on the same page. There was construction going on while we were there, with men working right outside our windows from 08:00-17:00. The rooms were slightly dated with noticeably old carpeting. The pool seemed dirty and unkept. The location itself was beautiful, but I think the accommodations and staff are far from reaching their potential.
Dayne – Dayne was great. He shared great knowledge about the area and history of Cape Town with us. He struck a good balance of conversation while also allowing us to have space and time to enjoy the amazing places we went. We also greatly appreciated him booking and managing reservations at restaurants along the way.
Overall, the trip was great and we had the time of our lives. Thank you for helping put it all together!
