Hi Brett,
Wow we had an incredible time on our honeymoon. My wife and I cant believe how close we got to some of the animals. We definitely crossed off some bucket list items. Each stay was fantastic.
Peermont Hotel- Great location right by airport. Had tons of options for food which was great after the long flight.
Senela lodge- Great first safari lodge. Very much like home, staff was really nice. Some days on safaris we really wouldn’t see too many animals ,but it was also nice we didn’t see any other vehicles around. It made it feel like we were out by ourselves in the wild bush. A guest actually took us on his helicopter which was great looking over Kruger park.
Kamaku Safari lodge- We thought safaris couldn’t get much better and this place was amazing to say the least. We arrived at the lodge with more than 50 elephants surrounding us. I went in the pool and the elephants would come right up. We saw plenty of action with animals (Timbavati was amazing for animal wildlife) . (5 leopards and a cub) We actually saw a hyena attack a leopard right in front of us! Rooms were clean and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Guide and trackers were unbelievable. Food was defiantly a step above Senela lodge. I would highly recommend this lodge to family!
Capetown- Loved the change of scenery. The waterfront was great to walk around and feel safe. Marine dynamics did a great job with explaining the marine life. We saw 13 bronze whalers. We had the best breakfast at Victoria and Alfred! Steve went above and beyond with explaining the city. He was one the nicest people we ever met.
Uganda- Wow this was defiantly a culture shock when we first arrived. Kampala didn’t seem the safest ,but once we made it to the hotel it was great. JJ our driver was fantastic. Gorilla safari lodge was great. Our favorite moment of tight trip was seeing the silverback gorillas. It was majestic seeing them in the wild. The hike itself was very nice but was cut short due to a wasp attack on our group. We all made it back ok though. Everyone was so caring and helpful in the city.
Overall we had an amazing honeymoon! It still feels like I was just emailing you regarding where to go in Africa. I cant thank you enough to for helping with the million visa questions. We will defiantly be back for another trip in the upcoming years. People told us Botswana is fantastic.
Thank you again for your help!
