Natasha’s clients enjoyed a safari to Chobe in Botswana and the Kruger. They stayed at Umkumbe Safari Lodge in the Sabi Sand, and Chobe Elephant Camp in Botswana.

Thanks for reaching out. Adam and I were both blown away with he entire trip. Everything went perfectly except for one minor thing that I’ll get into in a minute.
Umkumbe: this was a great quaint little property. The private reserves have so much to offer and we were so glad to experience one. Tonya our guide was unbelievable. She gave so much excitement and got us to see so much. We saw 4/5 of the big five (no lions) and a ton of other animals too. Food options here were extensive. Breakfast and dinner better than lunch but all were good. The only downside about it is they offer no activities during the day – just one bushwalk on one of our days we stayed there. Chobe elephant camp was sooooo much better than sun safaris description. The main lodge is GORGEOUS!!! The food was amazing. The service was so good. We saw lion here completing our big five. Downsides are rowdy elephants at night and only having access to public parks after being spoiled on private reserves but it’s good to try both.
Our one negative (and it’s not your fault) was the transfer from LVI to Botswana. Next time I would 100% do the layover to Kasane. It’s too much to transfer from LVI to the river on the border. Wait for trucks to move so we can get to the boat. Get on a boat. Get in a new car. Cross border at Botswana. Go to Kasane. Get in a new car. Go to camp. It was a lot for a day. If you can use this to advise guests to do the flight to Kasane instead of LVI.

Ilala as awesome. Such an authentic British feel to it. We loved it. The warthog was so cool hanging on the property. Meals were very good and the room was a nice change after living in luxury tents.
