Michelle’s clients enjoyed a safari detailing the highlights of Botswana, covering the best of land and water safaris. The route is the “Trails of Botswana” and guests stayed at Camp Savuti on the Savuti Channel, Tuskers Bush Camp in the Kwatale Conservancy and Xobega Island Camp in the Okavango Delta.
Here is their feedback :
“Overall it was a wonderful experience and went extremely smoothly. Even with 14 flights, we never lost a bag, and the self-drive aspects also went without incident.
I also have good feedback on the “Trails of Botswana” itinerary, as I recall this was not an organization you had worked with before. All three camps were great in their own way. Tusker’s was small and personal, with the manager also being the guide. We saw an amazing number of elephant, including some approaching steps from our tent. The tents were comfortable and the setting by a large waterhole was great. The drive to Xobexa was quite the adventure – this was probably the only mishap of the itinerary as the transfer was not point-point but we and the other guests on our same itinerary had to stop at the airport in Xakanaka to meet another family going to Xobexa, and then they didn’t show. So, the drive was much longer than planned. Xobexa was also a very nice experience, and great contrast with the other camps with its water activities. It was a bit more rustic than Tuskers but also well run. Of the three, we loved Savuti in particular. Super comfortable. While drives in the Chobe park had more restrictions, we had amazing sitings of lion and leopard, and really enjoyed our guide. I’m glad it worked out that the itinerary changed to Savuti!”
