An Electric Landrover is here!
The folks at Londolozi have always had landrovers, from the original Series 2 in the 60’s to a whole fleet of new Defenders. But when Landrover only started producing a diesel version the Londolozi team started looking for alternatives to the noisy engine. Over the next few years they teamed up with a local to re-purpose a Landy, and then got the folks at Landrover HQ involved. This vehicle has been tweaked and tested, with the folks at Londolozi so impressed. Their new prototype out performs their diesel vehicles – with no noise!!
Here is the story of their journey to bring a hybrid electric Landrover to the safari scene. It won’t be long before these are rolled off the production line straight into the bush!
