Baines’ Camp, Camp Linyanti & Camp Savuti reviewed on this Botswana Discovery Safari
Elizabeth visited Baines’ Camp in the wilderness of the Okavango Delta; Camp Linyanti, located in a private and pristine area of the Chobe National Park; and Camp Savuti, an intimate and exceptional camp on Botswana’s famous Savuti Channel. We were disappointed to hear that Elizabeth’s transfer from the airport did not arrive in time, and for that reason, we won’t be using Maun Lodge again. Thank you for your feedback!
Hi Anne-Marie
We returned from our Botswana trip and headed off two days later for a 3 000km trip to the North of Western Australia. Returned two days ago, so life has been fairly busy.
We enjoyed the variety of our Botswana trip and felt that ending up at Camp Linyanti was perfect for us as it allowed to relax prior to our trip home. We chose to go out each morning and afternoon on the boat, as we had already experienced plenty of game drives and we didn’t feel Linyanti game drives were going to add anything to this. Mind you, we had spent a total of 8 days in Etosha!
Baines’ Camp – We enjoyed being spoilt and even our “getting bogged” after dark added to the experience. Saw a variety of animals. The staff service was impeccable, as was the food.
Camp Savuti – We spent our time looking for the big cats and were not disappointed. KG has an amazing ability to track animals. The staff were excellent.
Camp Linyanti – With only two of us in camp, we enjoyed being able to do activities whenever we wanted. The staff went out of their way to look after us and on departure we joined in the goodbye dances.
I have yet to look at the photos we took in detail.
Thank you for your efforts in finding lodges that fulfilled our requirements. Other than our transfer not arriving when we arrived in Maun at the start of our tour, everything went to plan.
Regards,
Elizabeth
