Natasha’s guests enjoyed a South African safari recently in one of our favourite spots, the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. Lorraine was booked in at Arathusa Safari Lodge where she was treated to multiple animal sightings right at the lodge. Here are Lorraine’s comments on her safari experience and some great wildlife snaps she shared with us:
Hi Natasha.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to South Africa. Arathusa Lodge was perfect. Our room was lovely and there was so much food, all of it delicious. The game drives were fantastic – the driver/ranger and tracker (we had the same ones on every drive) were friendly and very informative. I would thoroughly recommend Arathusa.
The lake next to the outside dining area was the home of at least six hippopotamus whose calls echoed across the lake. On the other side of the lake were always impala and waterbuck. We also saw a herd of elephants over there and on two occasions a lone elephant grazing.
I have attached some pictures of the animals we saw on our game drives, as well as a very small deer type animal (can’t remember what it was called), it was fully grown at only waist height and would graze outside our room.
Thanks for your recommendation and all your help.
