PRICE: US$ 2, 395 per person
Day 1 – 3:
The Rhino and Migration Safari kicks off when guests are picked up from Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transferred to their accommodation at Nairobi Tented Camp, where they will spend 2 nights easing into their week on safari. On the day of arrival, guests will check in and enjoy a deliciously prepared lunch before departing on an afternoon game drive in the Nairobi National Park.
Nairobi Tented Camp is the only accommodation inside Kenya’s capital city National Park – a real privilege, presenting a safari with a difference. Watch rhino graze and browse the 12000 hectare park with the unmatched silhouette of Nairobi city on the horizon. On game drives, guests have the opportunity to see lion, hyena, leopard, wildebeest, zebra, and a number of antelope species, among other mammals and birds.
On day 2, guests will have breakfast at Nairobi Tented Camp before setting off to visit the well-known David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. This incredible organisation ensures that orphaned elephants (many of them orphaned by poachers) receive the care and treatment to ensure they can be re-released into the wild to live out their adult lives. Afternoon game in Nairobi National Park follows after lunch, before returning for the last night at Nairobi Tented Camp.
Day 3 – 6:
Check-out after breakfast at Nairobi Tented Camp and enjoy a transfer through the park, on the way to Wilson Airport where guests will catch a scheduled flight to Naboisho Airstrip in the Mara Conservancy. From here, guests will be met and transferred to their new abode – Porini Bush Camp. After lunch at the camp, guests will set off for a game drive in the Masai Mara’s Naboisho Conservancy.
Porini Bush Camp accommodates guests in 5 double, ensuite tents, which are pitched in their own space and privacy, allowing guests to enjoy the silence and tranquillity of the wilderness. Low tourism density, and a light carbon footprint, this camp adjoins guests with nature in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy.
On Day 4, guests at Porini Bush Camp can relax in Kenya’s unbeatable surrounds, in between morning and evening game drives in the 2 adjacent conservancies. A resident lion pride, leopard, cheetah, elephant and Cape buffalo are present in the reserves, offering fantastic sightings and photo opportunities. After breakfast on Day 5, guests will set out in to the Masai Mara National Reserve where they will spend the day admiring the world-famous scenery and encountering some of Africa’s most revered game.
The last evening on safari is spent in the peaceful environment of the Ol Kinyei Conservancy at Porini Bush Camp. A game drive at dusk, and into the early evening, offers the opportunity for spotting the nocturnal wildlife in the reserve. After dinner at the camp, guests can savour their last night in the bush.
Day 6:
The morning of day 6 starts with breakfast at the camp before guests are transferred to the airstrip and flown to Wilson Airport. From here, they will be transferred to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport where they will connect with their departing flights.
