From Cape Town to Victoria Falls, via the Kruger National Park! Liselle recently arranged a holiday for the Clark family that began at the Southern-most African city, Cape Town, and took them on a safari in two private nature reserves bordering the Kruger Park, before heading up to one of the 8 Natural Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls.
The Clarks stayed at African Elite in Cape Town; Arathusa Safari Lodge in the Sabi Sand; Simbavati River Lodge in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve; Peermont Mondior in Johannesburg; and Ilala Lodge at Vic Falls in Zimbabwe.
Here are their comments on their trip:
Hello Liselle,
Thanks for your welcome home!! We had a wonderful time in South Africa, way beyond our expectations!!! Probably for the three of us it was the best travel adventure we have ever had, and we have clocked up a lot of travel time in our years!!!
Loved Cape Town and the accommodation was excellant at African Elite!! We did the hop on hop off bus thing on two days and it was good value.
The transfers were good, on time and trouble free.
Arathusa was a nice lodge, lovely staff and the game viewing, amazing! We had good guides and trackers and saw heaps of animals up very, very close and got heaps of photos. We tried the African food where possible.
Simbavati was a good lodge, comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming! Game viewing, again, was awesome, but not as good as Arathusa.
The Mondier was interesting; small room and looking a bit tired, but clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast.
Ilala Lodge was very nice; good rooms opening onto the lawn and a good breakfast! We went to the lovely Victoria Falls Hotel for dinner one night. I stayed there 50 years ago and the dining room was still the same – very grand old hotel. In those days it was the only hotel.
Liselle, thank you for planning such a wonderful experience. It was quite unique and so very trouble free. I will be pleased to recommend Sun Safaris to all I speak to…
Regards,
Carl, Sandra and Nick Clark.
