Celeste sent her guest Luther Duda and his friends to Hippo Hollow in the Panorama Route, Honeyguide Mantobeni Tented Camp in the Kruger National Park, Bosavern in the Garden Route and Medburn Views Penthouse in Cape Town. Luther shared the following guest feedback:
“Dear Celeste,
Our entire trip was beyond our expectations and we were blessed to enjoy each other in ways we could not have done otherwise. The Hippo Hollow stay was great, Hippos were there in the river and the elephant exhibit across the river was a great treat to go through and experience. On our way, we were able to enter Kruger for an afternoon and see some really nice animals also. The Honeyview tents were superb though quite cold at times. Hospitality was very good as were the meals and game drives. I would like to have had a communication source between tents beyond the warning whistle provided in case of emergency. Some limited cell phone coverage and sporadic Wi-Fi at the base camp was available however. Rumor of ownership changing??
On our last safari we saw the white leopard and got some good video as it walked away slowly. Many other animals seen, but the largest pride of lions were also a delight; guide said he has only seen 50 lions like this three previous times.
We left one night early to ensure we could make the airline connection. Stayed in the Mercure in Nelspruit, next to the Mall and had an easy transfer in the morning. I am convinced we could not have made it otherwise.
Port Elizabeth was nice as was Jeffries Bay that we visited. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of buildings and places to stay. Waves were treacherous. so we moved on to Plett Bay.
Bosavern guest house was extremely nice as were our hosts. Had a chance to surf, kayak, trail hike, and enjoy some great food.
Drive to Cape Town was spectacular on the Garden Route. The Medburn Penthouse was a fitting climax to our superior accommodations. Facilities were really great and enjoyed the views. Had a surprise visit from the Apartment owner searching for his private Wi-Fi and charger that were not on location as he thought.
Guys went deep sea fishing while we visited the penguins in Simons Town. Victoria Harbor and shopping was nice and finished with the two young men going tandem paragliding from Signal Hill; what a harrowing experience driving to the summit that we could not reach due to over crowding there.
Ended up on SAA to JoBerg and Paris; all SAA flights were very nice. They offered gluten free meals for Melanie.
Overall, a marvelous experience, just like we laid out together. Thanks for your splendid help.
Blessings,
Luther”
