Liselle’s clients stayed at the Arathusa Safari Lodge in the Kruger, the VA Waterfront in Cape Town and a stop over in Johannesburg at the Peermont Metcourt Hotel.
Hello Liselle,
Sorry for the delay in responding to your inquiry, it’s been quite hectic here since our return but I wanted to report that overall our trip to South Africa was extraordinary!!!
The Peermont Metcourt was very nice and adequate for our needs.
Travel the next morning to Hoedspruit was without incident we were met by your driver who was wonderful, smiling and pointing out things of interest. We still remember his explanation of the bumpy roads as a South African back massage. Arrival at Arathusa was on schedule and exceeded our every expectation.
I know that there are other lodges in Sabi Sands and nearby areas but it would be near impossible to match their facilities, staff, food, and personal attention to detail. You are certainly familiar with their twice a day game drives and how they track the various animals but on our first afternoon we saw….Zebra, Leopard (with baby cubs) Giraffe, Cheetah, Elephants, Cape Buffalo, Rhinos, Hyena and a pride of Lions. Awesome! At night I was awakened by a mother Hippo scolding her young just outside our lodge…….We were overwhelmed by the quality of the food we were served, each day it got better and better and our final breakfast in the bush was very special.
Our Safari Ranger,Ryan, was a very special guy, his knowledge of the environment was extensive, pointing out the flora and fauna as well as the many species of insects and birds made each drive a new and fascinating experience. We also saw many other animals, Antelope and actually hunted with a pack of African wild dogs……So overall our stay at Arathusa was phenomenal and we would not hesitate to recommend it as a very special place.
Off to Cape Town, the transfers were perfect and our stay at the V & A was very nice and certainly convenient to shops and restaurants. Our Cape tour was flawless, our guide Lucia was charming, knowledgeable and a credit to all guides. we so enjoyed her explanation of your history and visiting the many interesting stops along the way, the weather was perfect and our climb to the Cape Point was fantastic…..
We went off on our own to visit a friend who has a home in Franchoek………the area of Paarl, Stellenbosch and the wine district was another fascinating experience visiting many vineyards and tasting many of your exceptional wines.
I’m sure you can see that I’m running out of superlative adjectives to describe our trip to South Africa……I would be remiss to not thank you and Sun Safari’s for making such superb arrangements, you helped make our very special trip one that we will remember fondly for a life time.
All the best and be assured if we can recommend your services you will get 5+ stars!!!
Cheers!
