Botswana Safari Review – by Anne-Marie Mulder

Anne-Marie’s clients enjoyed a safari to Botswana and stayed at:

We’ve included their wildlife pictures in this blog post.

Dear Anne-Marie,

thank you very much for organizing the safari… I enjoyed it very much. I think the others did too as we discussed plans for the next one…. but maybe they will give their own feedback.

Camps:

Both camps were very comfortable, although I preferred zarafa to jao. We weren’t keen on the “boma” experience and all the singing and dancing, but I realise some visitors want this.

Wildlife:

Jao was fantastic for birds and the guide was excellent. Zarafa was excellent for the rest of the fauna…and we saw 4/5 of the big five (no rhino). We had exceptional viewing experiences of a leopard and her cub.

With respect to lion… the viewing was a little close for comfort. The lionesses and ourselves chose the same spot for breakfast and we nearly ended up on their menu.

Elephant viewing was outstanding and we saw many baby elephants as well as large herds.

We saw wild dogs, a first for me but my husband and his cousin hadnt seen them in 30 years in kenya, so we were very happy!

Flights:

Wilderness air were great. It would have been better to have a direct Capetown-Maun flight.

Here are a few photos as requested.

best wishes,

Alice
