Natasha’s clients had the privilege of staying at Arathusa Safari Lodge in Sabie and Simbavati River Lodge in the Timbavati Reserve.
Hi Natasha,
We had a fantastic journey to South Africa! The weather was great (had one morning which was really chilly without the sun), the scenery amazing, the animal experiences unbelievable, and the lodges were great, though Arathusa is outstanding.
I would easily give Arathusa 6 out of 6! EVERYTHING was great about this place.
In comparison Simbavati was probably 4 out of 6. The meals were a lot simpler with a lower standard, but still OK. Comparing them to Arathusa would not be fare. Moving down from a great chalet to a “luxury tent” was also one step down the “ladder”. The Simbavati was supposed to be great for lions, but we were unfortunate and didn’t see any.
The first afternoon safari we had when we arrived Arathusa was so fantastic: we saw almost everything! Being our first safari we weren’t aware of how lucky we were.
Especially when this leopard came walking straight towards us and went under the jeep where Monika was sitting (she almost wet herself).
Regarding pictures: I took approx. 1000 J
Looking back I can’t think of anyway this trip could have been better! (probably more lions – we did get to see one, but he was sick and injured poor fellow). Thank you for a great setup, Natasha! I’ve already recommended you and Sun Safaris for my friends. Good luck with business and your future and hopefully we’ll be back in South Africa for more.
