Thanks for checking back Liselle. We are still on holiday but let me just tell you that the Safari at Arathusa at Sabi Sands was absolutely an amazing and magical experience!!!
The lodge, the staff, the food.. My god, what an unbelievable 4 days!
As for the game drives, sabi sands is so game rich! We saw all of the big 5 within a day and a half. We saw a leopard every single day! 2 times we saw a different leopard eating a kill in a tree. Another day we saw 2 new leopards mating! Amazing!
We also saw plenty of lion prides also eating kills (a giraffe and a buffalo)!
Finally. The crown jewel of the experience came during the very last hours of our final game drive… We saw 2 cheetahs! Our guide hadn’t seen a cheetah in 6 months and our tracker in 11 months. We were told they are very very rare to see, especially in sabi sands… And because they were on a certain land only those from our lodge Arathusa and Chitwa Chitwa lodge were able to see them!
