Desert Lion Conservation is Saving the Lions of the Skeleton Coast.
It is nothing less than eye-opening to spend time delving into the depths of wildlife conservation in Africa. The development of ecotourism has encouraged travellers to be aware of the roots of their safaris and the environments which present such breath-taking sightings and experiences. Increasingly, there is acknowledgement of the sensitivity of the African soil, [...]
Leopard interacts with car in the Kruger Park
This leopard was paying very close attention to a car in the Kruger Park in South Africa. “A beautiful leopard in Kruger NP has special interest in a Fiat Punto. We think the leopard was attracted to the car, because it saw its own reflection. Very nice sighting between Tshokwane and Satara.” - africawildlifenl By: Brett [...]

Madagascar by the Compass
Madagascar is quickly crawling up explorers’ to-go lists, as this island builds a repertoire as a one-of-a-kind destination with such incredible biodiversity that it is hardly believable that it all exists on one patch of land. It is rather a large patch of land at that! “The Great Red Island”, “The Eighth Continent” – Madagascar [...]
nThambo Tree Camp & Arathusa Safari Lodge – Guest review by Celeste le Roux
How about a Houseboat Safari?
A safari is most readily associated with the bumpy, four-wheel drive excursion, setting off at the chilliest hours of the morning and the most beautiful times of the afternoon. Game drives lure guests out of cosy accommodations to watch the dawn morph into daylight, the sun being coaxed into the sky by the melodic songs [...]

Both were absolutely fantastic!. I can’t tell you what a great time we had. We met some really super people both the trackers, guides and staff but also our fellow lodgers. Weather was perfect and all in all just superb. We got to see all the animals (with the exception of a leopard) and they were just incredible experiences.Lynn
It was great trip and yes we were lucky to see big fives. Unfortunately weather in Cape Town wasn’t cooperative, rain and clouds, but I guess it is out of your jurisdiction. Thank you for excellent arrangements.Larry Pershin
Flying to SA/Botswana – we thought that by travelling on international first class we would be immune to jet lag and fatigue – but hell no we were completely smashed on arrival at Vic Falls. The wait at immigration in Zimbabwe was disgraceful and the last straw on a long trip– I have done the falls before and they have not improved immigration in 25 years!! Get rid of Mugabe! Next time we will break up the trip so we arrive refreshed.Denis
