Whether you are spotting an infinitely diverse number of bird species from the depths of a dugout canoe, or trundling along in a topless 4×4 Land Rover while admiring leopard, lion, elephant and wild dog, one’s love of Botswana can only be renewed after a visit to Mapula Lodge. This exquisite setting in the north [...]

Sango Safari Camp Review – Client Feedback by Liselle Raath
Liselle’s clients stayed at Sango Safari Camp in the Moremi region of the Okavango Delta. Hi Liselle, We had such a great time!!! The first day we had 18 elephants outside our tent! Really wonderful people at Sango. Mostly saw elephants and impalas, not sure if it was the time of year or the concessions. [...]
Cannibalistic Lions photographed in Botswana
An interesting article from the Africa Geographic surfaced recently about the strange, cannibalistic behaviour of a group of lions spotted near Mombo Camp in the Moremi area of Botswana. Admittedly, I felt myself draw a sharp breath of shock at the sight of the images, but it also emphasised my appreciation for the sheer animalistic [...]
nThambo Tree Camp Kruger Safari – Client Feedback by Anne-Marie Mulder
Anne-Marie’s clients enjoyed a Kruger safari at the nThambo Tree Camp in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. Great! Exceeded my expectations. Managed to see lion, rhino, hyena, wart hog, gazelle, monkey and elephant (up close and personal) etc. in short time that I was there. I think that a 3 day stay would have been [...]

Featured Destination: Hopewell Lodge
The Eastern Cape is well known as an area of wide-open spaces, friendly people and no crowds. It is also home to various malaria free Game Reserves and I was lucky enough to visit Hopewell Private Game Reserve this past weekend. Hopewell Lodge is located just 40 minutes from Port Elizabeth, however you feel [...]
Loss of Habitat Means Loss of Lions
David Bristow, environmental writer and author of Africa’s Finest, aptly describes the tragedy that would strike the African continent should it become barren of lions. “Indeed, the entire energy of the planet would be diminished in some way – and so would we, without the one other species against which we have always found the [...]

Flying to SA/Botswana – we thought that by travelling on international first class we would be immune to jet lag and fatigue – but hell no we were completely smashed on arrival at Vic Falls. The wait at immigration in Zimbabwe was disgraceful and the last straw on a long trip– I have done the falls before and they have not improved immigration in 25 years!! Get rid of Mugabe! Next time we will break up the trip so we arrive refreshed.Denis
Both were absolutely fantastic!. I can’t tell you what a great time we had. We met some really super people both the trackers, guides and staff but also our fellow lodgers. Weather was perfect and all in all just superb. We got to see all the animals (with the exception of a leopard) and they were just incredible experiences.Lynn
It was great trip and yes we were lucky to see big fives. Unfortunately weather in Cape Town wasn’t cooperative, rain and clouds, but I guess it is out of your jurisdiction. Thank you for excellent arrangements.Larry Pershin
