Wow, what a place Ulusaba is! Guest feedback by Natasha Allan

UlusabaExteriors2012

Natasha received another great response from her recently travelled guests, Roy and Laura McPherson. They spent some time in Cape Town before flying off the the Kruger National Park and stayed in Richard Branson’s Private Game Reserve within the Sabi Sand: Ulusaba. From a peninsula tour of 2014’s Top City Destination to opulence on safari; Laura and Roy were thrilled with their experience and Natasha’s expertise. Here is what Laura had to say:

Hi Natasha,

We had an absolutely fantastic time and would not have changed a thing, (except for maybe a little more sleep).

Thank you so much for all the arrangements that you made for us; everything ran extremely smoothly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. All the pick ups, hotels and internal flights were perfect.

The Clarendon was a lovely boutique hotel.  The staff there could not do enough for you and were very happy to make arrangements either for tours, wake up calls, (some of which were very early), or arrange taxis for us.  When we returned after a busy day out the staff were always there to offer us cake, tea or wine – sometimes we had all 3!  We enjoyed eating at the Waterfront but also at Camps Bay which was very pretty.  We had beautiful weather for our trip up Table Mountain and for Robben Island.  Roy also took part in a Shark Dive which he really wanted to do!  We also had a days tour to Cape Point and the Cape Good Hope, taking in various points of interest along the way.

The safari afterwards was something else!  Wow, what a place Ulusaba is!  The staff there are so helpful and friendly and again, can’t do enough for you.

The rooms, service, food – all were excellent.  Our Ranger and Tracker on our game drives were extremely knowledgeable, and again, were very friendly and helpful.  My tea was always made in the lodge before leaving and on the morning drive, without me even asking and my G&T was poured on the evening drive as my sundowner!

The staff at the lodge were so helpful.  The food was superb, as was the wine, and we were very lucky to meet some lovely people who made the week there a lot of fun.

I also managed to drop Roy’s mobile phone off of one of the swing bridges that you needed to cross to get to your room at the lodge, but by the morning the security staff had located it for us. We were so grateful.

We really could not recommend either location highly enough, but for us Ulusaba was very special and we would love to return one day; perhaps with a week on the beach afterwards for some rest and relaxation!

I have attached a few photos from our trip, which I hope you like.

Once again, thank you so much for your excellent arrangements.

Kind Regards,

Laura & Roy
